Ex-Black Rock Devs Form New Studio
Disney Interactive has been beating a hasty retreat from traditional console games, and Split/Second developer Black Rock Studios (based in Brighton, England) have been barring some of the brunt. Two former Black Rock's developers have taken matters into their own hands and started their own studio – Roundcube Entertainment.
GamesIndustry.biz reports that Split/Second director Nick Baynes is Roundcube's studio director, and Ian Monaghan is the development director. The company has made no announcements regarding any projects it has in the works.
Meanwhile back at Black Rock, the studio continues to work on an unannounced game despite recent layoffs.
