SOE MMOs And Facebook Games Shut Down Temporarily
Sony Online Entertainment has disabled its online games temporarily in response to a perceived threat. This means fans are going to have to take a break from MMOs like DC Universe Online, EverQuest, and Star Wars Galaxies and Facebook titles like Dungeon Overlord, Poxnora, and Wildlife Refuge.
SOE posted the following message on its Station.com web page:
"Dear valued SOE Customers,
We have had to take the SOE service down temporarily. In the course of our investigation into the intrusion into our systems we have discovered an issue that warrants enough concern for us to take the service down effective immediately. We will provide an update later today (Monday)."
The connection to Sony's PSN disaster isn't clear at this point, but hopefully, this later announcement will bring some good news.
