Catherine Deluxe Edition Is Something I Will Buy With Minor Embarrassment
Catherine now has a release date of July 26! After nearly a year of covering this bizarre title, you'd better believe I'm in for the full bundle. Here's what I'll be getting with my purchase of the Catherine "Love Is Over" Deluxe Edition.
First off, the special edition will include some special Catherine-branded clothing, including the "Empty" t-shirt that Catherine borrows from lead character Vincent in the game and Vincent's stylish (?) polka-dotted boxers. A Stray Sheep pizza box from Vincent's favorite hangout will be packed in, as will a special pillowcase with an image of Catherine stretched out across it. I, uh, think I'll go ahead and put that one into a closet somewhere where potential love interests and visiting relatives aren't likely to stumble onto it.
If you preorder Catherine -- either the regular or deluxe edition -- you'll also get an 11-track soundtrack CD and a 36-page art book. If you're going for the deluxe edition, you'll want to preorder, too, as Atlus says it will only be printed in "very limited quantities" based on preorder demand.
The "Love Is Over" Deluxe Edition of Catherine will set weirdly obsessed gamers such as myself back $79.99 when it releases on July 26. Anyone else taking the leap for Catherine?
