Wii Price Dropped to $169.99
Following recent rumors that Nintendo would drop the price of the Wii from $200 to $150 in mid-May, the company sprang into action earlier than expected for a smaller discount.
This move looks to be in service of clearing out inventory in advance of Nintendo's announcement of a new HD console at or before E3.
Retailers GameStop, Best Buy, Amazon, and Target have all fallen in line with the new $169.99 number. Whether Nintendo will drop the remaining $20 to hit that $150 mark anytime soon is anyone's guess. Though it seems unlikely that we'd see two price drops in the span of two months.
