Duke Nukem Forever Remains Uncut In Germany

by Jeff Cork on Mar 03, 2011 at 02:20 AM

Duke Nukem was always about pushing peoples' buttons, with near-constant references to strippers and urination, and graphic (albeit comic) depictions of violence. Germany may revel in those first two things, but the country's a bit stodgier when it comes to that last one. That's why it's all the more surprising that Gearbox's release of the long-awaited Duke Nukem Forever will be released in Germany intact.

"Germany's ratings board, the USK, has assigned Duke Nukem Forever an 18 rating with no cuts or edits," read a post on Gearboxity, the studio's official community site. "In other words, the German version will be uncensored! Additionally, the German version of Duke Nukem Forever will be playable in both German and English. Hail to the king, baby!"

So there you have it. German gamers have something to look forward to when the game arrives there May 6. In the meantime, there are other ways they can occupy their time.
