UPDATE: Warner Confirms Key Mortal Kombat: Rebirth Roles

Sounds like Stryker will also be joining the cast. According to IGN, Tahmoh Penikett (Helo on Battlestar Galactica) will play the world's dumbest cop in the upcoming web series.
ORIGINAL STORY:
Warner made good on its promise to announce casting details for Mortal Kombat: Rebirth, confirming the return of key talent from the unofficial trailer.
Jeri Ryan will reprise her role as Sonya Blade and will be joined by Michael Jai White as Jax Briggs. Darren Shahlavi will take on the role of Kano.
“It’s extremely gratifying to have such talented actors playing these iconic roles,” said Kevin Tancharoen, director, producer and co-writer of Mortal Kombat: Rebirth. “They will bring the essence of Mortal Kombat to life and gamers will be deeply immersed into the game’s universe.”
Warner has described the project as an “anthology of multiple live-action shorts,” and promises deep character profiles for additional characters including Liu Kang, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero.
Casting for these and any subsequent characters have yet to be announced, but we expect to hear something soon enough as filming is underway in Vancouver.
