If You Post Catherine Spoilers, You Could Die?!
That's the message that Atlus is sending about their upcoming PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 release, at least.
The image above appeared in a post on the official Catherine website. Andriasang helpfully provided translation on the warning:
"Hello. I'm Sheep. Do you know of this scary rumor? Those who share spoilers about Catherine will have nightmares and die. Scary, scary. Everyone, to avoid nightmares, let's not post spoilers."
Earlier in the day, the official Catherine Twitter account contained a similar warning, asking gamers to hold off on posting videos with spoilers of the game or showing off areas near the end. Clearly there are some big twists in the game that Atlus doesn't want ruined for anyone.
Catherine comes out in Japan at the end of this week, but Atlus has yet to officially confirm whether they will be bringing the strange title to North America. I'm still holding out hope, so I'm kind of glad Atlus is pushing people to avoid spoilers. I mean, death by nightmare may be a slightly harsh punishment, but whatever it takes, right?
