It appears another Gears of War bundle in on the way, with an “Ultimate Edition” joining Gears’ “Platinum” and “Game of the Year” brethren. GameStop listed a “Gears of War Ultimate Edition” with a February 15 release date and a $29.99 price point.
The listing has been removed since IGN first spotted it, although Microsoft confirmed to the outlet that it was legitimate. “We can confirm a forthcoming bundle SKU involving the Gears franchise, though this may not be the final SKU name,” a representative told IGN. “There are no specifics available at this time, except to say it will not involve Gears of War 3 or the beta.”
IGN muses, and we agree, that the edition will most likely bundle Gears of War 1 and 2 along with relevant DLC.
