No DLC For PC Version Of Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit

by Phil Kollar on Dec 12, 2010 at 10:00 AM

Bad news for racing fans who prefer to play on the PC. Electronic Arts has confirmed that they will not be offering DLC for the PC version of Criterion's new racer, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.

Big Download has the official word with a brief explanation from EA:

"We have a limited amount of resources that makes it so that we are unable to deliver new content to all platforms.... We do have more updates and content on the way for PC players."

So it sounds like PC gamers will be getting patches and possibly some free content, but the paid DLC announced for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 won't be happening. Big Download points to a similar situation that happened recently with BioShock 2, where fan outcry managed to get 2K Games to change their mind and offer the DLC on PC as well. So if you're a PC Hot Pursuit fan, hit those forums and start making your voice heard.
