Building Zelda's Kokiri Forest In Minecraft

by Phil Kollar on Nov 23, 2010 at 08:15 AM

We've seen a lot of amazing stuff built inside of Minecraft, including a recreation of BioShock's underwater world of Rapture and a freaking computer. Now someone is remaking all of Kokiri forest from the N64 classic Ocarina of Time.

Check out the video below from YouTube user NinBuzz to see how Link's treehouse home, the rupee-granting stepping stones, and several other memorable Kokiri landmarks look in Minecraft. The project is still in the works, so it's not finished and polished up at this point, but it's still hard not to get nostalgic. Heck, the blocky Minecraft style isn't all that far off from how games looked on the N64.
