Blizzard Shows Off New Adorable World Of Warcraft Pets

by Phil Kollar on Nov 09, 2010 at 08:25 AM

During Blizzcon, Blizzard revealed two upcoming additions to their World of Warcraft Pet Store, prompting millions of nerds (myself included) to feel faint with joy at the idea of giving the giant company more money for non-combat pets. Though the pets aren't quite ready for purchase, Blizzard is providing a first look at what I'll soon be spending my money on.

Over on the official World of Warcraft: Cataclysm website, Blizzard has posted some screens showing off the Moonkin Hatchling and Lil' Ragnaros pets. They also have a reminder that a portion of the profit from sales of the Moonkin Hatchling pet will go toward a yet-to-be-named "good cause." Previously, Blizzard donated $1.1 million to the Make-A-Wish Foundation courtesy of sales of the Pandaren Monk pet.

You can check out two versions of the Moonkin Hatchling pet above and Lil' Ragnaros in the screenshot below. It's not clear if players will have to buy the two Moonkin Hatchling pet types individually, but Blizzard said details on the availability of the new pets will be coming in the next few weeks.
