Did you happen to catch the awesome new Castlevania: Lords of Shadow trailer that debuted at this year's Tokyo Game Show? Did you know that trailer was edited together by Metal Gear Solid mastermind Hideo Kojima, a producer on the game? According to a recent Twitter post, Kojima hopes to create another trailer for TGS 2011, but this time it will announce his next project.
Andriasang brings us this translation of Kojima's tweet:
"I think it would be nice if next year I can do not just editing, but introduce my own new game (game design, script and direction)."
With a feeling of somewhat renewed relevance coming out of Tokyo Game Show this year, debuting the next triple-A game from Kojima at next year's event would help carry that buzz forward. With a year to wait, though, we might as well spend some time speculating.
What could the game be? Kojima has stated previously (jokingly or not) that his next game will either be Metal Gear Solid 5 or an original title. I'd personally prefer the latter, but I feel like MGS5 would be a pretty safe bet. What do you expect and want from next from Kojima?
