Casualties Of Reach: Cabela's North American Adventures

It's not easy being a game developer. You slave for months to craft the most epic hunting game yet, and Microsoft stomps all over your glory by popping out another Halo game on the same day. Luckily, the gents over at Mega64 are here to give Cabela's North American Adventures -- the other "final chapter in a blockbuster franchise" released this week -- the respect it deserves.

In Mega64's latest video, we get a look at the heartbreak and outrage felt by the Cabela's team when they discover that Bungie is releasing Halo: Reach day and date with their latest masterpiece. The team doesn't take things lying down though; they march right over to Bungie HQ and make their voices heard.

The craziest part? This isn't the first time a scheduling conflict like this has happened. As hinted at in the video, Halo 3 was actually released on the same date as Cabela's Trophy Bucks, the "greatest first-person shooter ever made." And then again last year, with Halo 3: ODST releasing at the same time as Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2010. Does Activision know something we don't? Do they somehow sell more Cabela's by having it hit shelves the same time as Halo?
