Dead Space: Extraction For Xbox 360/PS3?

by Meagan Marie on Mar 29, 2010 at 07:08 AM

While some of us were more impressed than others by Dead Space: Extraction, generally speaking the game was well received. At the very least it can be said that fans of Dead Space lore missed out on some vital origin details if they passed over the Wii prequel.

In some loose talk during the recent PAX East event, Patrick Klepek of G4TV asked the Dead Space team if there was a chance that Extraction would migrate over to the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3. Considering that rail shooter capitalizes on motion technology – an arena that Sony and Microsoft are both entering – the idea doesn’t seem too far-fetched.

While not a confirmation in the least, executive producer Steve Papoutsis made obvious that the topic is one that is brought up often. He chimed in by saying that “It’s definitely something that sounds pretty cool,” but that he couldn't speak on the matter further.

What do you think? Would you be interested in playing Extraction with PlayStation Move or Natal technology? A re-release of Dead Space: Extraction would be a nice way to ramp up the anticipation for Dead Space 2.
