After Burner Climax Blasts Onto XBLA/PSN In Japan
Fans of blowing planes out of the sky can officially start getting psyched. Sega has announced that the arcade hit After Burner Climax is coming to Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network in Japan.
One of the most recent releases in the long-running flight combat series, After Burner Climax allows you to take control of several different types of powerful jets in intense dogfights above stunning landscapes. This iteration is perhaps most well-known for its huge arcade cabinet that includes a chair that tilts and rumbles along with your jet in the game, although that interesting element obviously becomes a non-issue for home ports.
1UP reports that After Burner Climax will be arriving this spring on the Japanese versions of Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. Sega has not revealed whether or not the arcade port might make it to North America, but we've contacted them to try and clear it up.
