EA Unveils New Fight Night DLC
This morning EA detailed DLC that will be making its way to Fight Night Round 4 in early December. The downloadable content will be available for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for $9.99/800 Microsoft Points. What do you get for your hard-earned money?
The download introduces fighters Bernard Hopkins, Sonny Liston and Evander Holyfield to the roster of playable characters, as well as two new game modes. The description for Old School Rules is a bit cryptic, boasting that it “brings a new take to the traditional boxing experience.” The second mode, Ring Rivalries, facilitates the recreation of historical boxing matches.
With Holyfield entering the ring and talk about historical boxing matches, we can guess that more than a few players will try their hand at recreating Holyfield-Tyson II: The Sound and the Fury. We can’t imagine that Tyson’s memorable “illegal blow” will come as part of the package deal.
If you have yet to pick up Fight Night Round 4, EA sweetened the pot by announcing the retail price has dropped to $39.99 throughout North America. Sounds like a good time to get on board.
