Brütal Legend DLC To Hit November 5

by Meagan Marie on Oct 27, 2009 at 06:34 AM

If you’ve already powered your way through Eddie Riggs’ wild ride in Brütal Legend, multiplayer is more than likely sustaining you. Good news – starting early November there will be more multiplayer maps to go around.

Two new maps are slated to launch early next month, The Circle of Tears and Death’s Fjord. Water has carved a circular battleground in Circle of Tears, and in Death’s Fjord you have been summoned to traverse an icy mountain pass in order to harvest awaiting fans below, all the while dodging enemy attacks.

“I play Brütal Legend online every night,” said Tim Schafer, President of Double Fine Productions. “And I need more maps! Circle of Tears is named after the crying of my vanquished foes on the battlefield, and Death’s Fjord is obviously a tribute to my Nordic ancestors, and their love of fan geysers and… Well, actually I just thought the name was cool. See you online!”

The DLC, branded Tears of Hextadon, also comes with the Blade of Ormagöden Axe as a free ad-on. The pack is slated to launch November 3 on Xbox live for 400 Microsoft Points. If you can wait a few days to check out the maps, November 5 will see the PSN release of the pack for the price of…free! PlayStation has secured a two week period where the DLC will go free of charge, so be sure to stop in and secure it before November 19.
