Uncharted and Ratchet & Clank Get New Home Spaces

by Phil Kollar on Oct 12, 2009 at 10:20 AM

If you haven't jumped into Sony's crazy virtual world of Home in a while, you may soon have another reason to check things out. Sony has announced that both of their huge October releases will be receiving new spaces in Home: Uncharted 2 and Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time.

1UP reports that in addition to visually recalling the two titles, the new areas will contain mini-games based on the retail releases. The Ratchet & Clank area will contain both a "find the sheep" game and a four-player tower defense variant, while the Uncharted 2 area will house the "Fortunate Thieves" competitive board game. There will be in-Home awards for doing well in the games, so if you become a master, you'll be able to show it off to other Home users.

Sony says they hope to continue adding games into Home and make it a viable gaming experience on its own. We'll wait until we see these two new spaces for ourselves before deciding if that seems very likely, but with Uncharted 2 and Ratchet & Clank both out this month, hopefully we'll find out soon!
