Atlus-O-Weenie 2009 Kicks off

by Meagan Marie on Oct 08, 2009 at 04:53 AM

If you’re a fan of Atlus’s gorgeous character designs and have basic skills in the arts and crafts department, a little time and dedication may net you some cool new swag. Atlus just kicked off their annual Atlus-O-Weenie competition, propositioning fans of their properties to create Atlus-themed Halloween costumes for a chance at prizes.

The web-based contest requires participants to submit their photos to the official Atlus Facebook page, where they are encouraged to ask friends to “like” their pictures in order to win the grand prize.

What are the prizes? The grand prize, decided by popular vote, will score the costumer Demon’s Souls Deluxe Edition and Droplitz for XBLA or PSN. Four runners-up will also be randomly selected, meaning you still have a chance to grab loot even if your skills aren’t on par with that of others. These winners will also score Droplitz, as well as their choice of an Eternal Poison, Persona 4 or Luminous Arc 2 signed art book.

One special prize, decided by Atlus staffers themselves, will round out the list. This winner will receive their choice of Demon’s Souls or SMT: Persona and a download code for Droplitz.

The deadline for submission is 11:59.59 PM PST, November 3, giving you plenty of time to cobble together your costume. Even if costumes aren’t your thing, it’s worth keeping and eye on other contestants and sticking around for the voting. If last year’s participants are any indication, massive talent will be found.
