No Man's Sky's Sean Murray Talks With Insomniac's Ted Price

by Ben Hanson on Jun 26, 2014 at 07:00 AM

One of the most talked-about games of E3 2014 is No Man's Sky from Hello Games, the studio's managing director Sean Murray was showing off the game in a hotel room away from the insanity of the E3 show floor. We spoke with Murray before E3 and he said that he's always wanted to speak with the one of the industry's most enduring and knowledgeable figures: CEO and founder of Insomniac Games Ted Price. So on the last day of E3, after days of showing off their new game Sunset Overdrive for the Xbox One, we traveled with Ted Price over to the hotel to have an extended discussion with Murray. It was an interesting conversation that covered the fluid definition of an "independent developer", whether or not developers on a large team can be engaged and feel ownership over a project, and the bizarre and ambitious development of No Man's Sky.

Watch the conversation below and let us know what you think of the discussion in the comments.

Feel free to watch and share this video on YouTube as well.
