The lights are on
We were more than happy to talk to Insomniac's CEO about their upcoming game called Fuse, but we couldn't help ourselves from diving into the studio's outstanding earlier games. There's a lot of stellar ground to cover, but we narrowed it down to Insomniac's leap from their first game Disruptor to the original Spyro the Dragon.
Watch the video below to learn how CEO Ted Price and a small development team built the company, learned the perils of live-action videos, and how the team's obsession with Super Mario 64 informed the design of Spyro the Dragon. I hope you enjoy the video.

Awesome video. I love to see the developer's point of view, definitely a side of the industry I'm always interested in :)
Spyro! Spyro! Spyro!
I love the first Spyro game so much, it was so amazing at the time of its release.
insomniac made without a doubt the best Spyro EVER!! They need to make another spyro game!!
Yeah, Spyro was awesome. I play It now and then, and it's still awesome.
Apparently I am alot like Ted Price because my first game was also Doom and Spyro is one of my favorite characters. Also I played pokemon, but that was in 1998.
Ted Price is a hottie.
Spyro the Dragon is one of my fondest early childhood memory. I wish Insomniac still had the franchise and release some crazy Spyro HD collection!
Loved playing the first three Spyros.
I think the second spyro was my favorite because I collected every gem and got the fire ball upgrade in the amusement park at the end. Plus the levels were my favorite too
Spyro was one of my favorite games growing up. I loved the third one, I wish he would go back to that instead of this skylanders stuff.
