Lara Croft Is Unstoppable In Rise Of The Tomb Raider Footage

by Hershall Cook on Aug 04, 2015 at 05:49 AM

Developer Crystal Dynamics revealed new gameplay footage of Lara Croft: Rise of the Tomb Raider during Gamescom.

The footage followed the iconic heroine as she infiltrated a mercenary camp, sneaking past some enemies and eliminating others. As Lara approached, using a river as cover, she grabbed a man from behind, knocking him out and pulling him underwater. After some further navigation, she tossed a glass bottle forward, causing two guards to move in that direction once the glass shattered on the ground. As Lara progressed, it became clear that this time around she'll have plenty of new ways to deal with anyone unfortunate enough to get in her way.

Crystal Dynamics intends the sequel to 2013's Tomb Raider to be a longer and more immersive experience than the original. This new game features a world three times larger than the one Lara navigated in the first title. As to immersion, Lara will be able to use her base camp to craft ammunition and other supplies.
