Fortnite Emerges From The Black Hole With Chapter 2

by Brian Shea on Oct 15, 2019 at 10:43 AM

Fewer than 48 hours after Fortnite's map blew up and the game was sucked into a black hole and taken offline over the weekend, the battle-royale phenomenon is back. Billed as Fortnite Chapter 2, the new update brings an all-new island to duke it out on, but it doesn't stop there.

In addition to 13 new locations to drop in, explore, and fight over, Chapter 2 adds new water-based gameplay, including swimming, fishing, motorboats, and more. You can also heal your team with the Bandage Bazooka or carry your teammates to safety. You can also hide in haystacks, blow up environmental explosives, and upgrade a streamlined arsenal of weapons. On top of that, Epic Games has implemented an all-new XP system including medals you earn in matches.

You can get a taste of some of the new locales below.
