OtterBox To Release Xbox Line Of Accessories
OtterBox has long been a big player in the mobile space, creating a variety of cases and accessories for phones. Today, Otterbox is expanding its operations into console gaming with a line of accessories designed for Xbox. The first line of products arrive in mid-February and are designed to take advantage of Xbox gaming both at home and on the go.
I got my hands on all of the products OtterBox is releasing and found them all to be of high quality, easy to use and assemble. An OtterBox spokesperson told me that Xbox is hopefully just the start for accessories in the console space.
Easy Grip Controller Shell
While offering protection for your controller, the key feature of this shell are the swappable grips. You'll find two sets of them in the box. One is a bit more abrasive, while the other feels slick on the palms. Both grips are designed to reduce sweat and slip. The shell is made of two pieces that lock around the controller, adding a few centimeters of thickness to it, but you likely won't notice the difference. The only slight downside is Xbox's Home button is partially covered by the frame, making it just a little bit more difficult to click. OtterBox is launching with three colors: dark web, dreamscape, and galactic dream.

Mobile Gaming Clip
This is the most impressive item OtterBox is releasing. The clip connects easily to the controller, and is sturdy, even allowing the player to adjust its angle and height as they play. The claw that holds the phone has an extendable arm that slides and snaps into place, allowing you to use almost any size of phone. When you are done using the clip, it can be collapsed for storage.

Gaming Carry Case
This case is similar in design to the one that comes with the Xbox Elite controllers, but comes with a couple of cool additional features. The top of the case flips up into a stand which you can set your phone on. The back of the case has a port that you can pass a cable through for charging purposes. The case's interior comfortably holds the controller in the base with three additional netted areas pockets for cables and accessories.
