XSeed is bringing an enhanced version of Ys VI: Ark of the Napishtim to Steam, The Humble Store, and GOG this spring. Considering Ys VI has been unavailable since Konami’s PlayStation 2 and PSP ports in 2005 and 2006, this is a great opportunity to experience the game that helped shape Ys: Origin and Ys: The Oath in Felghana.

In addition to the high-resolution graphics and full USB controller support, brand new features have been added to the western release including full widescreen support, the ability to warp between checkpoints, and a brand new difficulty setting called Catastrophe Mode. The extra hard difficulty setting makes it impossible to pick up and store healing items because they are now immediately used when collected.
