Yakuza: Dead Souls

The Yakuza series has a very niche audience in the West. Gamers not interested in exploring Japan’s seedy mob, patronizing hostess clubs, and beating people up with potted plants may be curious about the series’ latest move – zombies. Yakuza: Dead Souls is all about an undead outbreak in Tokyo, and it’s spreading westward.

Already released in Japan as Yakuza: Of the End, the game is substituting the current subtitle with Dead Souls for its Western debut. Instead of the series usual melee-focused gameplay, Dead Souls has players gunning down lots of shambling corpses. The game takes place in the quarantined Kamurocho district of Tokyo.

You can get your hands on Yakuza: Dead Souls in March 2012 for PS3.
