Those who can't wait to learn more about 2K's WWE video game franchise have a lot to be excited about today, as 2K has announced the complete feature list for its upcoming WWE 2K16.

Visual Concepts and Yuke's are bringing back several modes from past games. Story mode 2K Showcase returns, giving players the ability to relive classic matches and moments from WWE history and complete challenges to unlock characters, gear, match types, and other unlockables. MyCareer also reappears, letting players developer their character from rising NXT star to WWE Hall of Famer. Player characters can take part in interactive interviews, interfere with rivals, and form a tag team with another wrestler.

The developers have also improved upon the creation tools seen in last year's release. WWE 2K16 builds on the creation suite foundation already in place and offers new features like Create a Diva, Create a Championship, Create an Arena, and Create a Show. New improvements have been made to the pre-existing Create a Superstar, Create an Entrance, Superstar Studio, and Community Creation features as well. Players can also customize their in-game music thanks to the addition of Superstar entrance music to the game's jukebox. For the first time, Superstars can be assigned to multiple shows.

Based on fan feedback, Visual Concepts and Yuke's have overhauled the online experience for WWE 2K16. In addition to an improved matchmaking system, 2K is promising players multiple ways to play online with the WWE Games community.

Various aspects of WWE 2K16's gameplay have been improved upon. The controls and moves library were both completely overhauled in order to separate strikes from grapples and provide players with more control over the attacks they wish to make. This year's game includes new attack positions to give players more authentic options in and out of the ring. The developers are also introducing a new reversal system that improves the overall flow of the matches and includes major and minor reversals for added depth. A new pin system debuts an added mini-game and gives Superstars more animations and reactions to pin attempts. All of this is further supplemented by 2K's promise of improved AI, more differentiation between Superstars, dynamic entrances, and more match types.

Several presentation improvements from last year also make their way into WWE 2K16. John "Bradshaw" Layfield joins the existing commentary team of Michael Cole and Jerry "The King" Lawler with thousands of new lines recorded between the three of them. 2K is touting multiple visual upgrades to go along with its broadcast presentation that does away with the loading screens between entrances and the starts of matches.

The game is set to feature the "largest roster ever," including Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and cover athlete Steve Austin. WWE 2K16 also includes a large number of WWE Superstars and Divas, up-and-coming NXT wrestlers, WWE Hall of Famers, and other WWE alumni from several different eras. Those who pre-order the game will be able to play as Arnold Schwarzenegger as the T-800 from both The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

WWE 2K16 launches on October 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
