WRC 5 released late last year, and while it may have been the series' debut on the PS4 and Xbox One, the by-the-numbers title wasn't much of a celebration. Developer Kylotonn has overhauled the cars' suspension and engine performance, as well as various other factors, and is promising that WRC 6 – coming out this October – will be a more thrilling experience.

The game's first trailer has just released, and unlike last year's non-adrenaline pumping racing, the title is promising narrower roads, more dramatic dips and rolls, and a new damage system to put you on the edge of your seat while racing.

WRC's official license allows it to include all 14 rounds of the 2016 season (including Rally China), a number of WRC drivers, and the WRC 2 and Junior WRC categories. The game also includes Super Special Stages, including five of which are head-to-head experiences.

WRC comes out in October on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

For a quick look at the WRC franchise to date, here's a look at my review of WRC 5.
