The Swindle
There was a time when Dan Marshall abandoned The Swindle, but thankfully development has resumed on the cybercrime title – complete with today's announcement trailer and news that the title is coming to consoles and PC.
The Swindle is a stealth/action caper where you must find your way into buildings, hack safes for money, and find your way out of the procedurally generated levels. The game features stealth elements, but trigger an alarm and all is not lost – it just means you have to swing into action and get out before the police arrive. When an alarm is tripped you can still hack safes, but their cash drains down while everyone is on alert.
Return safely to your airship base and you can equip bio-mods such as bombs, quad jumping, and bionic eyes, as well as hire thieves to help you out. These thieves can be upgraded, and when they die the upgrades you've purchased transfer over.
Marshall is hoping for an early summer release, and would prefer that it come out on the PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PS3, Vita, and Wii U at the same time.
