In a little over a month, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will be arriving in North America. In the meantime, Nintendo has been more than happy to stoke the coals of enthusiasm by releasing screens and gameplay details from what could be the last major release on Wii.

Today, Nintendo has blown the lid off a few things that probably weren't that tightly contained. For instance, players will be able to swim and collect insects in Skyward Sword. Interesting, yes, but probably not that big of a shocker for longtime fans. Link will be meeting up with a new race while in the water, however, with the squid-like Parella tribe. Also, those insects aren't just going to be squished between the pages of an album; they'll be useful when Link has to manufacture special magic potions. Ew.

Link will be equipped with a whip on his adventure, which is an offensive tool against enemies as well as a nice way to swing across gaps. Finally, Nintendo has revealed that one of the many floating islands that Players can explore is called Fun Fun Island. Apparently, it's a place where Link can go to have fun, but only after completing quests for the isle's lonely inhabitant. Sounds like fun.
