The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
The Elder Scrolls series boasts one of the best character-creation systems in the business, allowing players to design the avatar of their dreams. Or a dopey looking catman with dreads. Bethesda realizes that not everyone enjoys wading through menus to determine the precise level of eye rotation or optimal lip protrusions. With that in mind, the studio has released a gallery of images showing off the default characters for each of Skyrim's races and genders.
As shown in the gallery below, the default creations run the gamut between perfectly acceptable and absolutely ghastly. They certainly look better than Oblivion's glowing mannequins, however. Even if you plan on creating your character from scratch, the images are a great way to get a peek at some of the haircuts and facial adornments that are available.
