Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS
Super Smash Bros. details are flowing freely thanks to its release yesterday in Japan, but that doesn't mean the official Super Smash Bros. website is finished delivering information.
The most recent update showcases the game's spectator mode. The game's director Masahiro Sakurai wrote on the Miiverse that while the map above doesn't have a lot of activity right now, but when the game is in everybody's hands, it will light up a lot more. This is also the screen where you will see assorted states related to the game.
Sakurai warns that diving into spectator mode can be dangerous if you don't want any of the new fighters spoiled for you, but followed up saying it might not be a bad idea to log in at least once so the network will recognize you and make upcoming patches, etc. available to you faster.
Super Smash Bros. releases for 3DS in North America on October 3. We have a preview build of the game in the office that we have capture plenty of gameplay from, which you can check out here and here.
