Sunset Overdrive

Badges? You might not need no stinkin' badges, but as the new episode of Sunset TV shows, you'll probably want to collect 'em.

As you can see in the video below, badges play a part in the game's Overdrive system. You earn badges by performing different in-game stunts, like grinding or using traps. There are a dozen categories, and you can then trade those badges in for Overdrives, which are passive upgrades. They add special attributes to your character, like providing regenerating health, or a sneaky one that buffs your damage output while slowly draining your health. You can have up to six different Overdrives active at a time, and players are encouraged to mix and match them to suit their individual playstyle.

Character customization gets another nod, too, including word that your female characters can have beards and other facial hair. Why not?
