We're looking forward to seeing more of Street Fighter V next week at E3. To hold us over, Capcom has released a trailer showing off the four announced characters and the new Variable system.

V-Skill doesn't replace the EX Gauge, instead giving players another way to strategically unleash moves during a match. V-Skill can be used for free without consuming the meter, and it's triggered by pressing medium punch and medium kick togehter. For instance, Ryu can parry melee and projectile attacks. Nash can absorb projectiles and steal his opponent's health.

Spending one block of the three-section meter lets you use a character-specific V-Reversal. These are counters that function as combo breakers. Finally, V-Triggers take up the entire gauge by pressing heavy punch and heavy kick together.

These are similar to Street Fighter IV's Ultra moves, but need to be utilized after being triggered. For instance, Ryu's V-Trigger allows him to charge up his hadokens with electricity damage.

You can see how this looks in the video above. Street Fighter V is coming for PlayStation 4 and PC.
