The upcoming open-world winter sports game Snow has just entered its open beta phase. Anyone can now download the beta for free on PC through Steam.

The beta features free-roam multiplayer skiing as well as competitive events, leaderboards, and enhanced graphics. The game’s expanded mountain now has over 20 areas to discover, while snowboarding and snowmobiling are still in development.

The beta also includes a number of free-to-play elements, such as the option to purchase cosmetic items from many name brands or pay for access to premium events. These premium events will unlock exclusive rewards that won’t be available in the game’s store.

Snow is expected to launch as a free-to-play game for PC and PS4 at some point later this year. Support for Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR is also in development.
