Shadwen

Frozenbyte, the developer of Trine, has announced a new stealth action game titled Shadwen, where you take the role of a female assassin who can bend time.

Similar to the indie shooter Superhot, time only moves when you move, which gives you plenty of time to coordinate your attacks, even if you're in mid-air. If these moves don't go according to plan, you can rewind time to retry a different maneuver. It's up to you whether you want to approach your take downs lethally or non-lethally, and these choices will affect the storyline.

According to developer Kai Tuovinen's PlayStation Blog post, you play as Shadwen, an assassin who plans to take down the king. The game takes place in a medieval setting, and you can traverse the city by swinging your way through the air with a grappling hook and using acrobatic moves. Certain objects in your environment can be used to your advantage, such as planting bombs, or loading a cart with poison dart traps.

Shadwen launches next month for PlayStation 4 and PC.
