Ronin Feels Like The Kill Bill Game We Never Got And It's Coming Soon

One of my favorite games from PAX East this year was Tomasz Waclawek's Ronin. At first glance, the Devolver Digital published title looks like it riffs off Klei's Mark of the Ninja. Ronin's revenge tale takes a different path that blends platorming with turn-based combat.

You play as a woman systematically wiping out five members of a corporation. Her motives are unclear, and her face disguised under a motorcycle helmet.

As you'll see in the trailer below, you'll need to carefully plan out your moves to avoid enemy fire and get the drop on foes. You're able to throw your sword and snatch enemies from the floor while hanging on the ceiling. But get into a firefight, and you could find yourself with nowhere to go.

Ronin is in early access right now, but is largely complete. Waclawek planns to use the period for balance and difficulty tweaking. Release is planned for June.
