Nintendo’s newest trailer for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire has a ton of reveals. Not only are there a bevy of legendary pokémon to catch in the previously revealed mirage spots, a new story quest is also set in space
The fate of Hoenn is in peril in the Delta Episode – a giant asteroid hurtles toward the region while the Sky High Pokémon Rayquaza and the DNA Pokémon Deoxys battle each other in space. To make matters worse, the nefarious Team Magma and Team Aqua have added to the turmoil by attacking the Mossdeep Space Center. It’s up to the player, some familiar faces, and a mysterious trainer named Zinnia to save the planet.
Players will also be able to capture a wide array of legendary pokémon in mirage spots, which can be found using the new soar mechanic. At least 18 legendaries from the original Ruby and Sapphire and other Pokémon games can be found in these zones including favorites like Suicune, Heatran, and Terrakion.
Players will have to prove their mental fortitude if they want to capture the three legendary titans Regirock, Registeel, and Regice. The trio can only be caught after players decipher ancient messages found around Hoenn. Once they have all three, players can encounter Regigigas, a legendary pokémon first introduced in Diamond and Pearl.
Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire launch on November 21 for Nintendo 3DS. If you like color coordinating and are in the market for a new portable, Nintendo is also releasing new clear Crystal Red and Crystal Blue 2DS systems on the same date.
