At Gamescom this year, I had a chance to go hands-on with Hi-Rez’s next free-to-play game. Paladins was one of my favorite games of the show, and according to the studio, you’ll be able to find out why soon.
Paladins borrows a bit from MOBAs, but leans more heavily on capture point-style arena combat. It’s character driven rather than based on classes, and relies on a collectible card system for in-match leveling.
We’ll have some codes to give away closer to launch, so if you’re interested, keep your eyes open. For more on Paladins, you can read our complete preview from Gamescom in August.
Paladins will be leading off on PC. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions are planned.
