If No Pineapple Left Behind sounds like a heavily criticized educational policy from a bygone administration, congratulations. You probably watched the news during the George W. Bush administration. For everyone else, just roll with the satire.

As we mentioned in our previous coverage, Subaltern Games' No Pineapple Left Behind is a satirical school simulator that casts you in the role of principal. You’ll manage the teaching staff by setting wages, hiring, and firing.

In the video below, you’ll get your first lesson on effective school administration. Each of your teachers will start with two spells that can be used to improve students’ grades and humanity. They cost energy though, and if you attempt one while your reserves are low, terrible things can happen (your pineapples can become children, for instance).

This is only first of the instructional videos for this odd lampoon of contemporary American education. No Pineapple left behind is headed to PC, Mac, and Linux, though no release window has been announced.
