A new video from Sony takes an in-depth look at the art design of No Man's Sky with the very people who are crafting it over at Hello Games.

The video shows off the plethora of concept art the game has amassed, talks about the sci-fi novel covers that inspired the game's art direction, shows new gameplay and creatures, and reveals the current state of Sean Murray's beard – which much like the game itself, is procedurally generated.

The post on PlayStation Europe's blog also reveals a custom No Man's Sky faceplate planned for release on PlayStation 4. However, the faceplate is not currently planned for release in North America.

Our editor-in-chief, Andy McNamara went hands-on with No Man's Sky last month. You can his full write-up on the game here.
