Nioh
Players first got a taste of Team Ninja's upcoming game Nioh in April, thanks to an alpha demo of the Dark Souls-like title. Next month, PlayStation 4 players will get another chance to face off against fearsome supernatural creatures in a new beta for the game. They'll have access to a long-range hand cannon this time around, which should help even things out a little.
Nioh's beta download will be available starting August 23, and the PS4 exclusive will be online until September 6. Look for the full game later this year.
The demo includes a new dojo stage, designed to ease players into the game's combat, as well as a new area that's yet to be announced. If you didn't get a chance to play the alpha, you can also play the Usuki area, which was featured in that demo. In the meantime, you can take a look at our Test Chamber from the alpha, featuring resident Dark Souls expert Dan Tack as he slowly falls in love. Be sure to take a look at the new screens in the gallery below, too.
Javy got a chance to see the hand cannon and other new content for the game during E3, and he walked away impressed. Check out his thoughts from the show here.
