In zombie fiction, the undead eventually become background noise to greater conflicts between the living. The upcoming PC shooter Moving Hazard plays with this notion, letting players use the walking corpses to their advantage as they do their best to turn their fellow survivors into Swiss cheese.
In addition to a variety of traditional arms, players can use special zombie-focused weapons to fatally troll the opposition. They include Molotov cocktails loaded with zombie pheromones instead of gas, which attract zombies to the target; chaos grenades that simultaneously stun other players while attracting the undead; and an item called the Templar, which creates uses radio waves to create a zombie-repelling field. It sounds similar to what Capcom is doing with its Resident Evil spinoff Umbrella Corp. We'll have to see what separates the two games when Moving Hazard enters early access in February 2016.
