A new dev diary was released for Killing Floor 2 that focuses on what Tripwire Interactive has learned from their previous work on Red Orchestra 2 and Rising Storm and how they are applying that knowledge to their upcoming sequel. From the video below you can see how they are striving to combine the arcade-feel of the first Killing Floor with the realism of their World War II shooters.

Additionally, the developers explain how perks will be more smoothly integrated and get you into the action quicker. Finally, there is a good amount of discussion about how the reload animations were created by bringing in professional soldiers and how smooth all the guns animate due to the incredibly large amount of frames of animation.

For more on the upcoming PlayStation 4 and PC shooter, you can check out some screens from PAX South and the live-action trailer.
