Killing Floor 2
If you are familiar with Tripwire Interactive’s first Killing Floor game you know that the series isn’t just about killing zombies, it’s about killing them in the most delightfully gory ways possible. Unsatisfied with the levels of viscera in the first game, the developers plan to take the zombie bloodbath to new heights in Killing Floor 2, as detailed in their newest developer diary “The Gore: Part 1."
In this new video the developers explain the three pillars of the game: Bullets, Blades, and Blood (blood being the most important of course). You'll also get a look at how dismemberment works in the new M.E.A.T. System. Tripwire explains that the M.E.A.T. (massive evisceration and trauma) System is actually a bunch of systems working together to create the most spectacular zombie mutilation possible.
Each creature has 22 points of dismemberment, including arms, legs, guts, and necks. In the first Killing Floor, each creature only had five points of dismemberment. In Killing Floor 2, there are that many points on the head alone. If you want to see this system in action, check out the video above.
Killing Floor 2 will be out for PC in 2015.
