NetherRealm Studios dropped yet another trailer for upcoming DC-themed fighting game Injustice 2 today, this one brimming with evil character reveals like Captain Cold and Scarecrow. While fans have been speculating that these characters would be in the game for a while now based on leaks from the Injustice 2 mobile game and previous trailers, this is the first concrete confirmation that they will be playable when the game hits in May. Gorilla Grodd and Bane also get a chance to strut their stuff. You can get a look at the villainous shindig down below.

Similar to February's "Here Come The Girls" trailer, this trailer is more focused on character reveals than showing off gameplay. It does give a look at each character's super move, but if NetherRealm's recent rollouts have shown anything, character-specific trailers for each of these villains should be on their way soon.

One small takeaway is the ice shield that Captain Cold blasts through. It looks fairly similar to a move from Sub-Zero's Unbreakable variation in Mortal Kombat X, hinting that there could be some technique overlap between the frigid fighters. Another eye-catching moment comes when Scarecrow shows off some ranged attack chops by spinning a chained scythe above his head. Bane appears to be staying true to his heavy-hitting roots, but time will tell how his gameplay has changed since the first Injustice.

Some sharp-eared fans will also be able to tell that Scarecrow is voiced by none other than Freddy Kreuger himself, Robert Englund, which might be the coolest thing about the whole trailer.

The previous Injustice 2 trailer gave fans a look at Supergirl's role in the story, which you can look at here.
