Gwent: The Witcher Card Game
We've known for some time that the standalone Gwent collectible card game would be getting a campaign. Today we learned more about who you'll be playing and what you'll be doing in the Northern Realms story.
Titled Gwent: Thronebreaker, this campaign follows a queen from two Northern Realms named Meve. When a foreign power threatens invasion, the war veteran must take up arms once again to protect her borders. CD Projekt Red says the campaign allows you to "explore new and never before seen parts of The Witcher world, embark on thought-provoking quests, gather resources, and engage in custom-made story battles, which twist the game’s rules in wildly unexpected ways."
In addition to news about the campaign, CD Projekt also unveiled its plans for the Gwent esports league.
Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is currently playable via PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The campaign will be available later this year.
