Grand Slam Tennis 2
Wii's Grand Slam Tennis was far from an overhead smash for EA Sports, but the series is getting another try – this time with an exclusive deal with Wimbledon and an appearance on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Grand Slam Tennis 2 will be out sometime in 2012 (could it be in time for the first Grand Slam – the Australian Open in January?), and includes the elusive Wimbledon license. Accordingly, the game will feature a 10-year career mode in which you'll try and bag all four Grand Slams and get yourself in the history books. The title will also feature doubles play, online multiplayer, classic matches from ESPN (including McEnroe v. Borg), and over 20 tennis greats.
Although the game isn't appearing on the Wii, motion control fans can turn to the PlayStation 3 version, which will utilize the Move controller. The move away from the Wii has also allowed the franchise to move in the direction of a more realistic art style.
