Forza Motorsport 5
McLaren Automotive and Microsoft have teamed up to create the fastest and most complicated zoetrope on the planet, and it's all in promotion of Forza 5.
If you're unfamiliar with zoetropes, they are circular devices with with slits on the outside, and animation frames on the inside. As you spin the zoetrope and look through the slits, you will see the animation come to life.
Microsoft and McLaren Automotive took the concept of a zoetrope, applied it to a racetrack, and the results are impressive. You can check out the video below where 680 of frames of animation were placed on the outside of a race track while a McLaren 12C vehicle with camera equipment attached drove by the images at about 120 miles per hour. The result is sort of mind-blowing.
Forza 5 launches alongside the Xbox One on November 22.
