Microsoft has announced that Forza Horizon 3 has gone gold in advance of the game's Sept. 27 release date. Better still, the publisher has revealed the addition of a car that fans of another Microsoft series may want to reserve some garage space for. The M12S Warthog CST is being added to the game, giving racing fans a chance to tear through Australia in Master Chief's iconic vehicle.

According to Microsoft, the Warthog boasts the most advanced suspension system in the game, making it the most stable vehicle available. Considering how hairy things are likely to get in the outback, that's an important factor to consider.

The Warthog will be available as a free download for players who have played either Halo 5 or The Master Chief Collection, so check your messages on Xbox Live for the code.
